FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Grouped by topic. If your question is not here, send a spec and ask it in the notes field — you will get a straight answer within one business day.

Ordering

What's the minimum order quantity for printed pouches?
It depends on the pouch style and any finishing like foiling, but most digital-print runs start from a few hundred units per design. Tell us your rough quantity in the spec builder and we'll confirm the exact minimum for your job.
Do I need an account to get a quote?
No. Fill in the spec builder and we'll reply by email. There's no account, no login and no minimum spend to get pricing.
How much do custom printed pouches cost?
Price depends on size, material, options, finishing and quantity, so we quote per job rather than publishing a rate card. Send a spec and you'll normally have pricing back within one business day.
Can I order a sample before committing to a run?
Yes. We can supply unprinted samples of the pouch size and material so you can check the fit and feel, and printed samples where the print method allows it. Ask when you send your spec.
Can I change my spec after submitting an enquiry?
Yes, right up until you approve the quote. Reply to the quote email with what's changed and we'll re-price it.

Artwork

What artwork format do you need?
Print-ready PDF is preferred; AI and EPS are also fine. Build in CMYK on the dieline we send, with 3mm bleed, outlined type and 300dpi images. Full detail is in the artwork setup guide.
I don't have artwork yet — can I still enquire?
Yes. Choose 'I need design help' in the spec builder and describe what you want. We quote print and design separately so you can see what each costs.
Will you send me a dieline template?
Yes, as soon as your size is confirmed. It shows the trim, fold positions, seal zones and gusset, and building your artwork on it is the best way to avoid a reprint.
Do I get a proof before printing?
Yes. Nothing goes to press without your written approval of a digital proof showing artwork placed on the dieline.

Materials & sizes

Which pouch material should I choose?
Match it to what damages your product. Foil for anything that oxidises, fades or loses aroma; matte white for colour-critical branding; kraft for a natural look with a barrier liner behind it; clear film where shoppers need to see the contents.
Are your pouches recyclable?
Some structures are. Mono-material and paper-based options can go into the relevant recycling stream, while metallised laminates generally can't. Tell us recyclability matters and we'll spec a recyclable option and explain the shelf-life trade-off honestly.
What size pouch do I need?
It follows fill volume, not weight. As a reference, 180 × 260mm with a 60mm gusset holds roughly 500g of ground coffee or 250g of granola. Weigh your product into a jug, send us the volume, and we'll convert it to dimensions.
Can I order a custom size?
Yes, and it rarely costs more than a standard size, because a dieline is produced for your job either way.
Are your pouches food-safe?
Yes. All food-contact structures we supply meet UK and EU food-contact requirements, and documentation is available on request with your order.

Production & delivery

How long does production take?
Typically two to four weeks from artwork approval, depending on the pouch type, finishing and current supplier capacity. We confirm a date with your quote rather than after you've ordered.
How quickly will I hear back about my enquiry?
Within one business day. If your spec needs a capacity check with the production partner, we'll tell you that on the same day rather than leaving you waiting.
Where are the pouches produced?
Through a UK-based production partner. We handle the spec, artwork, quoting and job management directly, so you deal with one point of contact rather than a supply chain.
Do you deliver across the UK?
Yes, to any UK mainland address. Delivery is quoted with the job so there's no surprise cost at the end.
What happens if the print doesn't match the proof?
Tell us and we'll put it right. If the delivered pouches don't match the proof you approved, that's on us to resolve — not something you're expected to absorb.
