Treat packs typically run 100g to 300g at around 130 × 200mm, everyday food packs 1kg to 2kg at 210 × 320mm with a 90mm gusset, and both take a resealable zip as standard because almost nobody finishes a bag in one sitting. Digital print starts at 100 pouches per design, making multi-recipe launches practical before committing to volume.

Will a printed pouch hold the smell of dog food in?
With the right laminate, yes. Odour containment comes from the barrier layer, usually a metallised or foil ply. A plain paper or single-layer film pouch will let strong smells through, which matters if the pack sits in a kitchen cupboard or on a retail shelf next to human food.
What size pouch do I need for 1kg of kibble?
Around 210 × 320mm with a 90mm bottom gusset takes 1kg of typical dry kibble. Larger, airier kibble and freeze-dried pieces need more volume for the same weight, so tell us the product and we will size it against real fill data rather than a chart.
Do treat pouches need a grease-resistant laminate?
If the treats contain fat or oil — most do — then yes. Without it you get dark patches showing through the print within weeks, which looks like a spoiled product even when it is not. We specify the inner ply against your recipe.
Can I print several recipes in one order?
Yes. Each recipe is a separate artwork file on digital print, not a separate print plate. The 100-unit per-design minimum applies to each recipe.
Can you add a hang hole for retail display?
Yes. Euro-slot and round hang holes are both available on stand-up pouches. Say where the pack will be merchandised in your enquiry and we will position it so it does not clash with the artwork.
