About matte white pouches
The matte overlacquer removes glare, which matters more than it sounds under retail lighting: fine type stays legible, photography does not blow out, and the pack photographs cleanly for listings and social. Will matte white match my Pantone exactly?
It gets closer than any other substrate we offer, because the white base removes substrate colour from the equation. Digital print still approximates spot colours rather than mixing them, so request a printed sample if the match has to be exact.
Does matte scuff in transit?
It can show handling marks more than gloss on dark, heavily inked areas. A scuff-resistant overlacquer reduces it noticeably and is worth specifying on dark designs.
Is matte white or gloss white better for photography?
Matte, almost always. Gloss throws highlights that are hard to light out, while matte holds detail and colour in both studio shots and phone photos.
Can I combine matte and gloss on one pouch?
Yes. A spot gloss varnish over a matte base is a common way to lift a logo or product photo without adding foil, and it is a relatively low-cost finishing option.
