Pouch type
Coffee Bags
A coffee bag is a stand-up or side-gusset pouch built specifically for roasted coffee: a high-barrier laminate to hold aroma and keep oxygen out, a one-way degassing valve so carbon dioxide can escape without letting air back in, and a resealable zip or tin tie so the customer can close the pack between brews.
- Degassing valve
- 250g / 1kg
- Zip reseal
- High barrier

About coffee bags
Standard retail sizes are 250g (roughly 130 × 225mm with an 80mm gusset) and 1kg (roughly 190 × 330mm), with 100g and 500g used for samplers and subscription boxes. Whole bean needs more headspace than ground at the same weight, so tell us which you are filling. Digital print means each blend or single origin is its own artwork file rather than its own print plate, with a minimum of 100 bags per design.

Coffee Bags — common questions
Do coffee bags need a degassing valve?
If you are bagging freshly roasted coffee, yes. Roasted beans release carbon dioxide for days after roasting, and a sealed bag without a valve will swell and can burst a seal. A one-way valve lets the gas out without letting oxygen in. Coffee rested for a week or more before bagging can go valve-free, but most roasters fit one as standard.
What size coffee bag do I need for 250g?
Around 130 × 225mm with an 80mm bottom gusset holds 250g of ground coffee comfortably. Whole bean is less dense, so allow roughly 15% more volume at the same weight. Tell us the weight and grind and we will size it.
Can I have kraft coffee bags that are still high barrier?
Yes. The kraft is the outer layer only; the barrier comes from the laminated inner film. You get the natural paper look on the outside with a metallised or foil liner doing the actual work on the inside.
How many coffee bags do I have to order?
Digital print runs start from 100 bags per design. Because each blend is a separate artwork file rather than a separate plate, printing four origins at 250 bags each is normally viable. Put your quantities into the quote builder and we will confirm.
